From June 15th to June 19th, 2026, the Department of Industrial Engineering at the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology held the defense of graduation qualification theses for students completing the first (Bachelor's) level of higher education under the "Industrial Engineering" educational and professional program.
During the defense, students presented the outcomes of their design and computational projects, which addressed topical issues in the engineering, design, and operation of industrial machinery. The subject matter of the theses reflects current development trends in the mechanical engineering sector, focusing particularly on improving the reliability of technical systems, enhancing energy efficiency, and optimizing technological processes.
The Examination Board highly commended the sound preparation of the candidates, the thoroughness of their engineering calculations, and the strong practical orientation of most presented projects.
Based on the results of the defense, all students demonstrated a high level of theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for the conferral of the Bachelor's degree.
The Department of Industrial Engineering warmly congratulates the graduates on the successful completion of their undergraduate studies and wishes them continued professional and scientific achievements.

Preliminary Review of D.O. Rassokhin’s Dissertation for the Degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences
On June 3rd, 2026, the Department of Industrial Engineering hosted a meeting of the joint scientific seminar of the Faculty of Machine Design and Environmental Protection of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology (Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine) and the Z.I. Nekrasov Iron and Steel Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The seminar was dedicated to the preliminary review of the doctoral dissertation by Dmytro Oleksandrovych Rassokhin, a doctoral student of the Department of Industrial Engineering at UDUST.
The dissertation is entitled "Development of Scientific Foundations for the Renovation Process of Mining and Metallurgical Equipment Using Composite Materials" and is submitted for the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences in specialty 05.05.08 – Machinery for Metallurgical Production (Scientific Consultant – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor S.V. Bilodidenko).

From June 1st to June 4th, 2026, the Technical University of Varna (Bulgaria) hosted the XX International Conference "Quality Strategy in Industry and Education" in a hybrid format (in-person and remote). The conference is included in the List of International Scientific and Practical Conferences of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for 2026 by the State Scientific Institution "UkrINTEI".
The Ukrainian delegation, led by Professor Tetyana Khokhlova, was welcomed by the Rector of the Technical University of Varna, Professor Dr. Dragomir Plamenov.
The conference covered key thematic areas, including "Quality in Industry," "Quality in Education," "Information Technologies in Industry and Education," and "Sustainable Development and Quality of Life as a Synergy of Economy and Innovation." Over 50 reports were presented by Ukrainian and Bulgarian scientists and experts.
Participants included representatives from the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute," the National Aviation University, the Kyiv Agrarian Institute, the Zaporizhzhia National University, and other higher education institutions. The Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology was represented by Professor of the Department of Industrial Engineering, Mykola Malich.
As part of the conference, an in-person internship for Ukrainian academic staff took place. Bulgarian experts delivered a series of lectures, introduced participants to modern industrial laboratories, and organized scientific discussions and professional networking sessions.
Participation in the conference contributed to the development of international scientific cooperation, the exchange of experience, and the professional development of the academic staff.

Кафедра галузевого машинобудування з великим сумом і скорботою повідомляє про те, 17 липня 2025р. Пішов з життя доцент кафедри, кандидат технічних наук Назарець Віктор Семенович.
Пішов з життя наш дорогий колега, вірний товариш.
Автор більше 75 наукових робіт, з них 25 авторських свідоцтв. Нагороджений медаллю "Винахідник СРСР" медаллю ВДНГ.
Віктор Семенович Назарець закінчив механічний факультет Дніпропетровського металургійного інституту в 1961 році, здобувши кваліфікацію інженера - механіка по металургійному обладнанню.
В 2004 року організував та очолив кафедру "Колісні та гусеничні транспортні засоби" Національної металургійної академії України.
Колектив кафедри сумує з приводу великої втрати і висловлює співчуття рідним і близьким Віктора Семеновича.
Нехай добрий, світлий спомин Віктора Семеновича назавжди залишиться у серцях рідних і колег, усіх, хто його знав, любив і шанував.
